To Re-assign a Task to Another User

You can re-assign a task that has been assigned to you, providing that the work has not been started or is in progress, therefore tasks that can be re-assigned must reside in your Inbox or Forthcoming folders. Tasks that have been completed may be re-assigned. Re-assigning a task releases you from all responsibility and control of the task. Note that your user account must have the appropriate privileges to allow a task to be re-assigned.
Note: In order to re-assign a task, you must first reject it. See Rejecting a Task for more information.

Follow these steps to re-assign a task to another user:

  1. From the Work Exchange tile, select one of the following:

    Inbox - to list all tasks assigned to you for which work has not yet started

    or

    Work in progress - to list all tasks assigned to you for which work has started

    Based on your selection, all tasks in the relevant Work Exchange folder appear.
  2. Select the task from the list by checking the box to the left of the task name, for example:
  3. From the Actions menu, select Re-assign selected.
    The Task Reassign dialog appears, for example:
  4. Select an Assignee from the list.
  5. Accept or select a Due Date, by clicking the calendar icon ( ), and selecting a date. .
  6. Enter Task instructions in the box provided, and then click Verify and reassign.
The task is verified, and then assigned to the specified user or skill group. The task is removed from your assigned tasks.
